Dear Sir/Madam,
I have over 15 years experience working in the IT technical support field. Throughout this period, I have gained a great deal of valuable experience within different corporations, most recently Standard Chartered Bank, Geneva
In my position at Standard Chartered Geneva, I was engaged in maintaining efficient and smooth IT operations for 2 production offices and a disaster recovery site. The supported infrastructure contained around 100 workstations, 20 servers providing File/Print, Exchange, Voice Recording, locally hosted 2 Web/Database applications all based on Windows platforms. I handled all queries and problems related to in-house banking applications, network connectivity, printing, video conferencing and pushmail and many others on a daily basis.
As well as daily operational tasks and user level support, I was heavily involved on project related work. Due to the nature of ever changing requirements from business and regulators, I had the opportunity to be further exposed to ITIL processes, upgrades, implementation of new solutions and systems (for example, closure project of SCB Switzerland, extraction, migrating and retention of Geneva Private bank data within Switzerland, completion of Windows7 migration using SCCM, completion of pushmail deployment on Apple platform, implementation of Polycom Video conferencing system, upgrade from analogue telephony to Cisco IP telephony and voice recording system).
The project related works in my previous role at Standard Chartered London, enabled me to spend period of days or weeks at different remote sites like Frankfurt, Istanbul, Jersey, Paris, Almaty. During the merge of American Express Bank to Standard Chartered, I played a vital role in migrating users from the American Express platform to the SCB platform. The responsibilities of these projects included carrying out site and user surveys, pro-actively liaising with the AEB IT department and the Project Manager to identify potential fallbacks, testing applications, finalizing new machine images, converting mailboxes and data, transferring user profiles, securing and encrypting sensitive data and providing continued support upon successful completion of the migration. Successful completion of these projects within tight deadlines required an adaptive approach to different environments and the ability to improvise solutions as required
Through a decision made by higher management, Standard Chartered Geneva has officially been liquidated as of 31 October 2016. This leaves me in a situation where I am available for new opportunities and challenges.
